Between 550 and 330 BCE, Greek history unfolded in constant dialog with the Achaemenid Persian Empire. This course uses textual and archaeological evidence to explore this long-term cultural, economic, and strategic relationship from the perspectives of multiple actors, constantly asking how our sense of Greek history changes when we set it within a larger geographical perspective.
