Speaker(s):
Barbad Golshiri

Barbad Golshiri is an Iranian artist and a socio-political critic of art. His mediums include video, installation art, photography, and performance art. In all of his art, the role of language as a necessary but contingent medium of expression plays a pivotal role. His most recent work focuses on grave markers, cemeteries, and obsequies. He documents burial grounds all across the globe and makes grave markers himself both for cemeteries and art spaces.
