Abbas TowfighDr. Towfigh known as one of Iran's foremost satirist and the editorial cartoonist for the highly successful Towfigh Magazine. A graduate of Tehran University's Faculty of Law and Political Science. He received his doctoral degree in Sociology from the Sorbonne University. His dissertation was under: "Role of Satire in Iranian Society." Along with his brothers for years he managed not only the Towfigh weekly but the Towfigh Publishing House. The paper was banned by the Shah's Regime in the early seventies and remains till today a singular accomplishment in Iran's modern satire.
