Afshin Hashemi: Actor – Playwright – Director

Afshin Hashemi was born in 1975 in Tehran, Iran. He received his BS in Chemical Engineering from Abadan Petroleum University of Technology and a MFA in Directing from Tehran Art University. He has performed in more than 30 plays and 10 movies directed by prominent Iranian directors such as: Bahram Beyzaie, Ali Rafie, Hamid Amjad and Mohsen Abdolvahab. He has also written 10 Plays and directed 8 on stage.  Hashemi is also the Director of two feature films: "Don't be Tired" and "Soft Voice”, and received several awards from both national and international festivals.
