This past academic year has been an important and busy year for the Iranian Studies Program. It is increasingly necessary to study and teach a more nuanced and comprehensive understanding of modern Iran, to highlight its rich cultural, political, religious, and economic relevance, its relationship with the U.S., role in the Middle East, and changing place in the world.
