New Iranian Cuisine Course for Stanford Students

Based on the success of the 2019 course French-Persian Cooking, the Hamid and Christina Mogahdam Program in Iranian Studies at Stanford University offers a new course this fall on Iranian Cuisine (GLOBAL 104).

The eight-week activity course offers Stanford students an introductory overview of the history of Iranian cuisine, essential ingredients, and culinary traditions, through the weekly preparation of dishes. Led by Professor Abbas Milani, the course was designed with chef Hanif Sadr and features him as well as several other prominent guest chefs. Due to COVID-19, the class has moved from in-person to online with the hope of returning to on-campus instruction when safe to do so. In the meantime, to the students "Zooming in" from their homes: nushe-jan!
