Celebrating Bahram Beyzaie's 10 Year Anniversary at Stanford
Bahram Beyzaie, one of Iran’s most acclaimed filmmakers, playwrights, and scholars of the history of Iranian theater, joined the Iranian Studies Program at Stanford in 2010. In the past decade Professor Beyzaie has taught thousands of Stanford students through courses on Iranian cinema, Iranian theater, and Iranian cinema in diaspora; written and directed six feature plays; given numerous lectures and workshops; and continues to teach, write, publish, and direct. A series of events will take place in the coming year to celebrate this important moment. Details about these events will be forthcoming. We are honored Stanford has been his home and look forward to the next decade of collaboration.
